When Shen Yuan finds an abandoned puppy and brings him home, he's at a loss on what to do. Once he decides to keep the pup, Shen Yuan logs his time with tiny pup Xiao Bing on his account, and they both grow to love each other. But there's something about Xiao Bing that feels quite different from other dogs...

CHARACTERS
HUMANS
SHEN YUAN: Editor of a small publishing company that has rejected Proud Immortal Demon Way (PIDW) five times. Adopts Xiao Bing and grows attached to him. Childhood friends with Shang Qinghua and Liu Qingge. Messy, absent-minded, and self-deprecating, he cares more for others than himself - not that he'll ever admit it. Eats anything in his vicinity and will go on a vicious, tangential rant about PIDW at any given opportunity.
SHANG QINGHUA: Writer of PIDW, in which he based characters on his friends, and Mobei-Jun's boyfriend. Volunteers at a local animal shelter where he first met Mobei-Jun; knows Luo Binghe's a werewolf through him. Has kept Mobei-Jun's identity a secret, yet was quick to recommend Mobei-Jun when Shen Yuan asked for a vet. Neurotic, easily frightened, but has a tenacious survival instinct that isn't obvious on first glance.
LIU QINGGE: Personal trainer. On the verge of sueing Shang Qinghua for putting him in PIDW without his permission. Has a crush on Shen Yuan due to an incident in their past, leaving Liu Qingge with a lasting secret which he hides from Shen Yuen to this day...
His younger sister is a personal trainer for women and writes fanfiction on the side. Loyal, responsible, and with a sixth sense for anything related to Shen Yuan, he distrusts Xiao Bing on sight.
WEREWOLVES
LUO BINGHE: Also known as Xiao Bing, he's a runaway from home, where he felt neglected and unloved. After he's beaten and chased by human kids, Shen Yuan finds and adopts him. Falls in love with Shen Yuan, and secretly starts to care for him by doing chores around the home when he's an adolescent. Fears revealing his werewolf identity; what if Shen Yuan stops loving him then? Devoted, sticky, and possessive, he's neutral about Shang Qinghua and hates Liu Qingge on sight.
MOBEI-JUN: Also known as Dr. Mo. Luo Binghe's vet and Shang Qinghua's boyfriend. When he was dragged into a local animal shelter as an adolescent, to be euthanized for aggression, Shang Qinghua rescued and adopted him. He revealed his werewolf identity immediately and began living with Shang Qinghua as a human from then on. Described as "frigid" and "distant" by many, only Shang Qinghua is privy to his gentler side. Because Shang Qinghua has kept his identities a secret, Shen Yuan is not aware that he's a werewolf or that he's Shang Qinghua's boyfriend.
